Meet Steve Deakin
Steve Deakin first picked up a tennis racquet at 5 years old and learned the game with his Dad. Deakin would go on to win 11 Canadian National Titles. He is a formerly ranked ATP player and a 2-time Senior World Team player and Captain.
When Steve suffered a tennis injury in 2017, he found pickleball and never went back to the big court. He is now a multi-major medalist, 5-time Canadian National Champion along with many Pro Doubles Titles. He runs clinics and camps across Canada in between his competitive schedule.

What a week! So incredibly proud of our team. We started our season off with a bang! These four amazing players supported each other above and beyond my expectations. A special thanks to our Captain, Brooke Buckner for taking care of all the little details. I especially enjoyed our nightly team dinners and all the laughs along the way. Another cherry on the Atlanta cake! Main draw was fun but these kids? Deep deep talent today. Thx to @lenajaansen , we lost to Bellamy/Brascia in the rnd of 64 and getting to know @jamesdelgadopb was perfect. We lost to Patriquin/Staksrud in the rnd of 32. On to Senior where we defended our Title. @julie_johnsonpickleball was preoccupied (kids crushing it) but we did it anyway and @altaf_merchant_pb was a beast as always.
